I also took advantage to the free weekend BUT as others noted
There just isn't enough there for me to spend more money on to subscribe!
While I did watch quite a number - most of the time I was just listening to the video and working on some projects on the work bench!
Obviously I must not have found much to keep my interest in watching the videos!
I could find most everything they have done on the Internet and not cost me a thing - the Railfan videos really don't hold my interest as they are not in my area!

Interesting perspectives!
I for one enjoy the videos on MRVP tremendously. They add an entirely new dimension to the hobbby for me. I've met several of the video "stars" in person, though they wouldn't remember - I'm one of probably thousands they talked to at the NMRA national convention the past few years. Watching them on video after interacting with them face-to-face just adds to the fun of the video.
And sometimesa few seconds of video can clear up something written in the magazine that didn't quite come across to me in the text and photos.
I expect to subscribe as long as they produce the videos.

It was nice the Kalmbach folks let us have a free weekend of VP. I watched a few vidoes to find out what I have benn missing so far. I found out that I have not been missing a thing! VP is by far no substitute for the magazine, IMHO, and I would not spend the extra money on it.
Watching the vidoes is like watching a cooking show on TV - it wets your appetite while watching it, but you never get around actually cooking one of those meals.
I didn't have a problem viewing the videos. My only point about the videos is I don't find enough there to be worth paying extra for. Much like the Parade in the Sunday paper, it's interesting, but not the reason I buy the paper.
From a purely business perspective, I wonder if the ROI for Kalmbach to produce purchase quality videos for sale is really there vs the advertising value from the ones they give away free (Cody's office for example).
I commented elsewhere something a little derogatory due to lack of quality on a lot of the videos, sorry but overall I just just wasn't impressed.
I constantly had the same problem. I was an on-again-off-again subscriber to VP, and I wrote to them a couple of times. My last response was: Varying internet speed with the amount of users, getting the gliches out of their program, making sure everything on my end was up to date, and so on. I just dealt with it, although it was annoying, and seemed interuptive. About the only videos I found interesting was Drew's Trackside stuff, a couple of Cody's videos were informative, and I'm not interested in any of their "project railroads", so, I decided to cancelled the subscription. Besides, my hobbies and interest are heading to the outside, like it does every year at this time. I've been in the basement working on the layout and running trains, and on the computer all winter.
Just my opinion,
Mike.
My You Tube
Not sure about anyone else but I enjoyed the free weekend on MR Video Plus... However all the videos had delays in them where the audio didn't always match the video so it was had to watch... I went to MR's customer service center and used their software to check my browser settings and it came back with 100% passing grade...
Did anyone else have this problem and is there a fix for it? I'd like to sign up for the video plus but not if the video comes across this way... This also happens when watching Codys office and other video's on the MR side... I can watch and HD video on youtube with no problem... So is it my PC or MR Video's?
