I too have a Rivarossi/AHM switcher. Here's some pics.

Cool- thanks guys. Now if I decide I want to try to use it I'd have to try to find a shell for it that would fit my layout/era.

Here's one of mine. With it's pancake motor this one's defitely a Lima product.
Note: Unit is 4WD but the motor is dead.
I'd concur on AHM being the seller, and add Rivarossi as the manufacturer. AHM was the distributor of Riv. products many years ago. I have an old Rivarossi Krauss-Maffei locomotive that has that same motor which I think was unique to Rivarossi. Three pole, vertical shaft, flat commutator on top. Has a tiny worm gear driving one axle in the power truck with gearing to the other axle. Might actually have ball bearings in the motor if I remember correctly.

Looks like the chassis of a Plymouth MDT switcher marketed by AHM many years ago.
I received this yesterday from a friend of my parents (but from dad) so I, nor anyone else, knows where/what the shell is. I get that it's some sort of diesel switcher. No manufacturing marks anywhere on it. It's a double axle, and it does work. It's HO.
Thanks
