If it has an X in it, it sucks! And yes, I just had my modeler's license renewed last week!

I liked the Virtual Timesaver. Took me 93 moves to solve it.

I was "fortunate" once to operate the original timesaver. It was only I believe 18 x 56" in total size. I have seen many variations on the original at many conventions and meets. However none of these variations are as compelling, exciting, or frustrating at times, as the original. Especially when you follow John's original rules.

What was even worse, when my daughter was an 11yo, we had a G-gauge version set up at a show. She won the contest by beating all us "professional" modelers by a huge margin in time and moves. She really knew how to rub it in too.

John Allen's Timesaver Switching Problem
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, October 11, 2004 12:19 PM
Can someone advise where I can get a copy of John Allen's Timesaver Switching Problem layout plan; and also what space requirements would be needed for an HO version. Are there other comparable switching challenges that would make for a good HO shelf layout?

Many thanks.
