Official Modeler's License available
Posted by dragenrider on Sunday, October 3, 2004 3:29 PM
I was reading the other thread concerning the issuance of a modeler's license. Seeing that no agency is forthcoming in producing such a document, I have taken it on myself to make up one. [}:)]

Seeing as I'm home sick from work and need something to occupy my fevered mind, I made a frame ready, diploma-style certificate perfect to hang on the wall! It is in MS Word format and I can email it to you. Just open the document, add your name, and print! [:P]

Cost? Ain't no stinkin' cost! This is the MR forum, not eBay!

Email me and I'll send one to you. No, I'm not collecting addresses to sale for spam mail. Please don't sell mine, either, this is a "throw away" address. No, I'm not a mad hacker with a new virus to distribute!

Got mine on order. I can't afford the $$$ fine if I get caught without one.

Thanks, Fergie! Much better today. [^] I've been looking in all the Cracker Jack boxes for my special prize, but all I keep getting are these lame fake tattoos and crumbs on my shirt. (burp). Want a peanut? [:P]

Thanks to all of you for your kind emails, folks! I hope you are getting the license OK and enjoying them.

What? Home sick again? Yes I forgot all about this and I still haven't found anything good in any Cracker Jack boxes neither!

Thanks

Modeler's license?
I drive, fish, hunt and carry a large caliber hand gun with out a license.
I even preformed a brain operation with out a license(he was a nice guy I am going to miss him) why do I need a modeler's license??[:)][:)][:)]

There is no such thing as a bad day of railfanning. So many trains, so little time.

Randy, I've sent you an e-mail for one.

BNSFNUT: No licenses at all. Should I call the local police[#dots] maybe not. I'll just let Phil read this. [:D] A brain operation huh, are you sure the guy was alive at the time, or already dead.[xx(][:D][B)]

Kennyt47,

I'm having trouble with your email. It keeps coming back undeliverable. Can you send me your address to make sure I'm getting it right? Also, make sure your email accepts attachments. Yahoo and Hotmail tend to eliminate them, thinking they are viruses.

If anyone else hasn't gotten theirs when requested, please email me again. I think I accidentally sent someone a list of my engines instead of the license! [xx(]

Thanks for all the comments and kind emails. You folks are great! That's why I love being here. [bow]

Many thanks Randy

It's nice to be a member of the Xspurt d'Elite but I really think you're doing the rivet counters a diservice by not having a certificate of recognition for them. After all they are as much a part of this hobby as the rest of us. They just don't know it (all).

A rivet counter's license? Now there's an idea. Next time I'm sick and bored (or is that bored sick?) I may try one of those! [}:)]

I could modify the license that I made to a rivet counters license. Also I could make a passport license for all those traveling modelers. email me if you would like one.

BNSF,
Darn, I gave my last softbound copy of Do It Yourself Brain Surgery to a friend for Christmas. I think you are more deserving. [:)]
