White River Junction, VT (WRJ)

In a past issue of MRR there was a featured layout of WRJ. Anyone know what issue? I am thinking of doing a simple model of WRJ myself. I drive over WRJ and the old roundhouse every day on the way to and from work. So, i am interested in doing a shelf layout of the pass station and roundhouse section only.

thanks

There was an article on WRJ station in the January, 2002 issue of MR. However, it was an article on scratch building the station, although I think it contained a track diagram.

It's really kind of hard to support your local hobby shop when the nearest hobby shop that's worth the name is a 150 mile roundtrip.

Kevin,
Just did a quick title search in the Index of Magazines using "White River Junction" as the search term, here's the link:
http://index.mrmag.com/tm.exe?opt=G&cmdtext=White+River+Junction&MAG=ANY
Two of the listed articles were about the station, but perhaps one of the other three is the article for which you are searching. By the way, there's a great Italian restaurant (Colatina's Exit, is the name, IIRC) in Bradford.

Kevin,
You can get photocopies of articles from MR either from Customer Service at this site or from the NMRA's Kalmbach Memorial LIbrary:
http://www.nmra.org/library/
A third source that sometimes will provide enough detail are the USGS quadrangle maps at Maptec:
