Thank you "Z" much appreciated, must blame my oversight on massive heavy drinking, alzheimers or just getting very, very old, or perhaps a medical condition, anything but just forgetting eh?

Tatans,

I have an Idea!!  You can go to your discussions and click on Sept 14,and you will find all kinds of ways. You were in the discussions. Just a Thought!,Rather than repeat everything, all over again.

What brands are you talking about?  Some brands have a spring to hold them in position, others do not.  They require different methods to operate in manual mode.

Have fun,

Has anyone tried to convert older electrical switches (turnouts) to manual ? seem like an easy task, just rig up some wire or thread and arrange it so it opens and closes the switch,  anyone out there done this???
