LION on LIONS
Posted by BroadwayLion on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 10:07 AM

Lion has a running thread on Trains/Transit with photos of New York City Transit.

LION has decided to place a similar series of artistic photos of HO scale transit here.

Here is a photo taken at Dyckamn Street on the Route of the Broadway LION.

Comments and other photos are always welcome.

Here is one that I just took. 12 exposures compiled together for depth of field. It is the passageway between the IRT and the BMT at my 14th Street - Union Square station.

It could also be very late at night...?

I think it looks great just the way it is.

It does look pretty good, that second one of the inside of the subway.

But New York City with no people in the subways, is a travesty. There's like 7 million people that live there, how in the world at any time of day or night with no people?

I thought maybe there was a bomb scare, emptied it all out. All it was is an escaped lion on the loose in the city, LOL.

How many people would be standing around there if a LION were loose in the station?

And why are we not seeing said LION? Well who do you think is taking the picture?

Time photography. No one was in one spot long enough for them to show up on the film.

The people and the turnstiles (in case you had not noticed) have yet to be placed. For the number of people who actually loon inside of this tunnel, I might not bother.

But you will know. Big Smile  I really like the way your work is progressing and the detail you are adding to make the scenes believable.

This train is making the station stop at Canal Street. The background image is from the BMT Canal Street station before heading out across the Manhattan Bridge.

Or in color, with more of the model shown it might look like this:

Lions and tigers and bears, OH MY!

Maybe People Snacks account for the missing people? Tasty, yummy and always fresh..

So, besides the ROAR of the subway trains, there is  another ROAR in the tubes?

I have never been on the NY subways so I can only imagine it is like that.

Lions have extensive layouts and thoughtfulness.
