Scott

There is plenty of room for that decoder, spin the decoder several times to "bundle" and group the wires all together then fold back on itself and lay the decoder on top of the board. Use kapton tape to secure the decoder and install the tender shell.

Tsunami Installation in Bachmann Shay
Posted by BNSFConductor on Saturday, August 24, 2013 3:05 PM

Hi all.

I have a Bachmann 3-truch shay that I'm installing a TSU-750 decoder in.  I'm getting stuck on how to properly seat the decoder inside the tender and get it closed  along with all the wiring.  Would someone have detailed instructions on how to properly install one of these decoders in the shay without completely destroying the locomotive?

Thanks,

Scott Benson
