Chad M, I can research this if you want but I found those odd labels by accident, on a Microscale CP sheet, but as said I'm not sure which one, but they were completely fitting for the April Fools CP Logo'd Machine. Please click the Pix for the Full Sizer, You'll see the Silliness I planted......
Again, a really big Thanks Guys!!

Modelling HO Scale with a focus on the West and Midwest USA
Dear Chad,
Please don't apologize, you can post whatever DM&E/IC&E stuff you like! :) This thread is public and you can post as much as you want, and Great job on the IC&E GP35 and CP SD40-2, they look like they belong on the IC&E/DM&E

Chad,
What does it say under the number there on the Engineers side?

Bryan,I appreciate that very much, & I said that about folks that don't always post, because I am one too.. I read & collect from professionals, & try to do my best, Thanks!I'll honor that, with another picture...
So, Lets not dwell on that, no more, & lets look ahead... Which I did, when I was STUNNED by the news that the Copr. that owned the DM&E & IC&E, sold holdings & went back to CP..As a Funny HA HA, I posted this as an April Fools Photo, about 3 years ago...I was a Challenge to not see that shell, & paint it CP Red as it was Accessorized, but it went Blue...Another Kato, dun up Chadley Style...
No need to make apologies.
I think there lots of folk that read posts, look at all the cool pics and never leave a reply. I'm sure there are many reasons. Mine...I look and read, then have to cut and run to help with kids, chores etc... Every now and then go on a tear and do some posts. This is a great forum, and has been very helpful to me and my modeling efforts.
Put me down as a fan. I like your work as well as many others. Im inspired by many of the things I see here.
Gotta go for now...

P&S, & All;
I'll be very honest here; Uh Oh!!!Yeah, lately I felt I been a 'thread ender' because no one has commented or even acknowledged my efforts...I do not want to " End " another excellent thread, just because I do enjoy modelling the line & have something to contribute. For examples, look at my my last shot, i made that it's own thread showing how I got a weathered CP Kato from eBay & turned it into that patchec DME unit. ( ZERO Replies)!I did not get much feed back on this GP35 that I did much Electronic work on, in another thread. However, I do hope "Silent Admirers" will find my posts informative, positive, & helpful, as I think much of that is missing in today's posts.I have PM'd other folks with quotes like 'I doomed that one', 'Ended That Thread' & 'Did anyone care?' types of titles..Well, Enough of that....My stance is that; I can buy a Kato, & an Equal amount of Detail Parts, & try (in my own style), to make a model that I like & appeals to me. I grew up in NE IA on a MILW line, & then left & went to School in Surburban Chicago, when the line was dug out... Chi was where I eventually ended up working the last 11 years & there was on an ex-MILW dual track mainline behing the Work property, that went back (& led) home to IA!! I started to see a lot of IC&E/DM&E activity & it drew me home. They were my one Savior in a bad position & bad times.I left that place & came home with a small stock of misc. trains, & have been building ever since!Thru thick & thin, I had DM&E and IC&E, they are my (distant) home town Boys!So I model them, & even embellish the line with fictional units.Which I hope, the Majority will enjoy! And, I really appreciate folks like you, & a handful of others, that have publicly & privately, supported my efforts, it has always been appreciated!I also need to thank the silent admirerers, I hope I helped!I'm not a master modeller, & never will be, but I enjoy the hobby, which it is all about, -to me....
Hey, Sorry for the TMI, & Biography.......So with that here is an ex-IMRL GP35, a Fictional, one of my favorite runners, & a not so perfect model, but all the same..
Chad, Why apologize for posting too much in a thread about something which you have a passion for? If it wasn't for your modeling and photos I would probably never have even known the DME existed. If people complain about you posting too much I would suspect it is because they are envious of your modeling skills. Keep up the good work.

Here are all of my DM&E Locomotives and better pictures of the SD40-2
Nice DM&E SD40! The good thing about model railroading is that you get to do whatever you want, it doesnt matter if something isn't prototypical, i have a Soo Line GP35 that was detailed to be an RC yard locomotive
Thanks for the info, and you have some very nice units yourself!
The model was a kato, and it was a bummer what happened to the Mt. Rushmore unit.
The SD10 was a kitbash from a Proto2000 undec SD9.I custom scratched the Airfilter, & added things like an OMI Winterhatch. The most difficult thing was making the cab, some of these were fitted with 35 series Cabs, but I went all out on a modified one.Took a Canon Numberboard part & added the 'cat ears' fillets, & also cut a Canon Cab front for the center windshield area, to ultimately make a low hood cab. Did simple chopping of the nose to fit that.As I always say, can't buy 'that' in stores..I have a few more SD9 Undec's in stock, & plan to also do the other 35 series cab version too, but at the time, I really wanted this one. It's not perfect by a long shot, but it will work..
Hope that helps..
Oh, I almost forgot my most recent one, an exp CP DM&E Patch, not 90% accurate, but it works for me, as I dug these on some of the DVD videos I have seen.Another twist on non-painted power...(I have more Leased/Patched units for DM&E & IC&E than I have painted properly ones, I guess I am colorful!!)!
PS: my apologies if it seems I am posting too much in the thread, please post if you have some, we all want to see your models!!! That is what this is for, please post, share, & talk..Thanks!!
Hey, SOOLine720;BTW, that looks like a real nice model, in your original post.Is the original unit a Kato, to me it looks like a Kato, that was nicely detailed.I think you got a real nice unit!
I also like the Mt. Rushmore model, I saw her recently, under unfortunate circumstances, (2-3 yrs ago), it hit a Fertilizer Truck here in NE IA, & I saw it at a yard, still running in idle, with PD Tape. (I took this picture)..I also have been using different blue toned paints to represent older faded units, it's all acceptable...I appreciate the Thread, & Welcome any Discussion on DM&E & IC&E.Thank you!
Nice work, who makes the SD10?
Here are a couple I am working/worked on.Believe it or not, I have about 10-13 Shells painted & waiting for decals for DM&E & IC&E.With the announcements from Intermountian & Athearn, I have not worked on them much.
Here you will see an SD40-2 from BLI Decaled for DM&E, An SD10 waiting decals, & a not quite finished but oldest custom one an Atlas GP40-2.
Here's one I did some time ago, with their Mount Rushmore scheme. Only did it because a friend gave me the decals.
