tatans $1,399.95 ? Great ! as long as I don't have to pay $1,400.00, I think I'll order 3. then again I can get older mint brass locomotives on line for $195.00 and other great brass locomotives for under $300.00, they just don't happen to be Canadian Locomotives, every bit as nice but don't say Canadian Pacific.

Yeah, but you're missing the point. These locos will be made out of gold!

Well!
Now I really do need to win the lottery!!
Great looking locomotive but far beyond my budget. Darn it all.

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
I know that $1,400 is a lot but given that it is also DCC and Sound I will go for one. It may be possible to get a bit off through a dealer discount but it would not be a large discount, likely around a 10%. Would help.
$ 1400.00 That's about what I've spent on Walthers turnouts and I'm just a small fry in this MRR game. Based on how long it took to get the Selkirk out, I will be a lot older before these things get on the shelves, so maybe yes, maybe no.
Now the layout is more or less up and running I've got to spend my money on something other than track and turnouts and DCC systems.

Pathfinder Ohh, that would be nice! Any idea on price?

Sadly, it is currently listed as being $1,399.95 (US), like most of the other upcoming, larger models for which they're taking reservations (see http://www.3rdrail.com/reservation-ho.htm).
I'd gladly buy a CP or CN ten-wheeler for up to half that price (priced like their recent SP Mogul), even though I don't model either line. They just look neat, and I'd make a way to use it.

What a nice surprise from Sunset Models, what with all of the larger steam being released lately,

Providing there is sufficient interest.
Sunset has produced most of what they have proposed, sure hope that is the case here.
