The Acela Paint Scheme

Walthers and Athearn have just announced an Phase V Amtrak paint scheme for Genesis, similar to Acela. High price though! No cars yet but I am sure they are coming!

I own Acela set and its couplers are very diff. so u can't use any other loco with that.

Right now I am also looking for Athearn P42 AMD103 for my Amtrak Superliners. But I doubt they come in Acela colour scheme.

Visit TrainModels.com and select locomotive on ut left hand side drop box. Then select Manufacturer and serch for "AMD103", u will be able to see some photos.

Hi. I´m from Germany and want to know, which Amtrak locos and passenger cars, are painted in the Acela Paintscheme. I saw only the P42 and the AEM-7. Are there other locos or cars? Are the Athearn P42´s and the Walthers Amfleet cars available in this good looking paintscheme? Is it possible, to use the Acela trainset cars with normal locos, maybe an P42, or is this not possible for the prototype? Thanks, Micha
