As long as we're talking Bowser steam, I have a Challenger waiting to be restored but the project is stalled because the front crosshead guide yoke is broken and I need a replacement.  Is there anybody out there that has this engine in either junk status or kit form?  I'd be willing to purchase either the part or a whole kit so as to have backup spares.  I'll be out of town but will reply to answers after May 27th. Thanks

Try going to the HO Interchange. They seem to come up with people having everything from the most common to the most obscure. Worth a try!

I thought they quit making the detail kits for the challenger and big boy.  Selling what they have after they quit making the loco kits.

I am suprised that  Bowser doesn't have the parts in their Calscale line. I recently detailed a  Mantua pacific for a CNJ blue Comet & Cal scale had everything I needed.   There are other suppliers also. Go to the walthers page & do a search.  jerry

Bowser Big Boy Detail Parts
Posted by parts323 on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 7:35 PM

Hello Guys,

I recently aquired a Bowser Big Boy from a local train show complete with about 95% of the brass super detail kit. Does anyone have any detail pieces that they are willing to part with, or know where I could locate the missing pieces. I have already contacted Bowser directly, and they only have a few detail pieces in stock. Any help will be appreciated.
