I'm guessing you are looking for powered.  Unpowered there are lots of choices: Caboose, humpard, etc.

LION can mount Tortoise anywhere you like it. What is big deal with under the layout? Foam too thick? You can cut out a pocket under the foam.

Assuming that you want to use the Peco switch machine, they make the PL-12x Adaptor Plate.  You mount the switch machine to the plate, then mount the plate to the board next to the switch.  This makes for one huge ugly block sitting next to the track, so I'd recommend this solution only for hidden tracks.

I've used this item for a hidden yard on my club's layout with great success.  It eliminates the need to cut holes under the switch to fit the switch machine below the track (most helpful when you're working in a space only about a foot tall!).  Since you didn't specify which scale you're working in, I'm going to assume either HO or N...the adapter plate will work for either.

I 've gotten mine from Bill, he currently has 60 in stock. He is a good online retailer, I've never had a problem.

or search for PL-11 PECO SIDE MOUNTED TURNOUT.

A little coloring and smart scenery hides them well.
