I like the Siemens vehicles--they run similar Siemens vehicles in Sacramento (along with physically similar CAF LRV's) in Sacramento (www.sacrt.com.) No clue where to get models, though--although it might be fun to run modern LRV's sometimes on my 1940's-50's themed interurban/trolley/diesel layout!

MTS originally did a run of the U-2s around a decade ago. I saw one in mint condition on eBay within the last few months, but that's all I can tell you. I guess they're planning to do another production run, but from my understanding they have been experiencing difficulties with the overseas brass companies they normally deal with.
The U-2 could be a candidate for scratchbuilding in styrene - the U-3 with its flatter corners would be even easier. Not much choice otherwise, besides waiting for brass (or possibly resin for the U-3).

I am trying to find a Seimens Duewag U2 or SD-100 light rail train. These are 6 axle trams with mid articulation.
The city I live in (Edmonton) has the 'LRT' which I am very interested in modelling. This is the same model used in San Diego and Calgary.
Soon after the initial purchases by these three cities SD changed to the U3 or SD-400.
I would be happy to find either model.
MTS exports has it on their list of upcoming models but it has been there for more than 2 years... still waiting.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
