I haven't taken either one (well, I take Amtrak a lot, including Capitol Corridor, but not Caltrain), although I imagine I should give 'em a try sometime! I just don't get much call to go farther south than San Francisco.

I voted Metrolink, because I see them every day on the layout and outside my house (one is going by now!) and the ride is smooth and comfortable. But that CalTrain MP36PH is a hard to beat loco in the looks department! [:0]
