and when you get there, look for the words "browse issues" at the bottom. That is how you get to past issues other than the current issue shown on the page.

Right at the top of the banner in this webpage it says:

MR Subscribers, check out the new All-Time Digital Archives
It's just a teaser for subscriber's, but you should find an open door to stumble through somewhere in there...

I signed up for the whole enchilada, including access to all issues of MR ever published, but i can't find an access to the achives so i can access the entire production run of MR.

You don't need to back door it. The front door is open.
Just go here:
http://mrv.trains.com
Heres a clickable version.
At first I was unable to access Vidio plus thru the video tab. I kept getting an error message. I went thru subscriber extras and got it. After that I was able to go thru the video tab.
You have to back door it. Click on any of the video links (Cody's Office, Expert Tips, etc.). Once there you will see a link that says something to the effect of; "For the best quality, watch this video on MR Videoplus". I think they may have given us an Easter Egg to find on Easter weekend!
Edit: This is what it actually says
Are you a Model Railroader Video Plus Subscriber?
For a better viewing experience watch this video at MR Video Plus.
Or you could just use the above link. It seems to work.

Where on MRR site do you click on to see video plus, I signed up but don't see any captions to click on for the service. I hope they have something on their menu bar by April 1st. If I am missing it, where is it?
If I subscribe now & start receiving the videos & my subscription runs out in Oct. & I choose not to receive the magazine after that. Will the video end then with only 6 months access or will it run for 12 months even without the magazine subscription??
Steve, I've noticed the same thing in all categories. You cannot find anything in sequence.
My Layout Pics
I hope they will do some work on it for the official release. If not, I am disappointed. Its not the content, its the navigation. I just spent the last hour traversing the videos on the Thin Branch extension to the Virginian layout. There is no logical order to the videos and they appear in random areas of the site. You cannot sort by project, you can only sort by Video add date. Another example is that the laying track section of the thin branch is in the "how to" section and not under the "project railroads" section which has most of the layout . There is also no numbering scheme which would indicate a video order. This is not supposed to be a treasure hunt from some mythical map.
RogerThatIt's live now. Just go to mrv.trains.com.
That does not seem to lead anywhere.
It's live now. Just go to mrv.trains.com.

Here's how I understand it:
Model Railroader Video Plus (MRVP) is a separate service from Model Railroader and Model Railroader's online sections. MRVP is a subscription service, and you will pay about as much as a MR subscription for access to material that is not in Model Railroader or on Model Railroader's website. It's pretty much like an online Model Railroader, except it's separate from Model Railroader.
It sounds really neat, but i'm on a tight budget, so I won't be signing up.
You know, it kind of stinks that they offer a lower price for MRVP to people who are subscribing to MR for the first time, and charging the loyal subscribers $25. (For new subscribers, the cost to add MRVP to their subscription is only $11. How does that make sense?)
MRVP by itself (no Model Railroader) is $45.
Anyway, what do I care. I'd rather spend my budget on plain old MR and just buy more trains.

Modeling the Pennsy and loving it!
I just noticed that Model Railroad Video Plus is now live. When did that happen? I thought it was supposed to happen on April 1.
Yes, we realized that we might raised some eyebrows by announcing the product will launch on April 1, but the answer to why is pretty simple - it's a Monday.
As far as what the product will be, you can check out the preview episodes at www.modelrailroadervideoplus.com
We're pretty confident that you'll like what you see, and for a limited time, MR subscribers can add MRVP to their subscription for only $25 per year.
MR subscribers who choose not to add MRVP will still have access to their current selection of videos, but once you've seen MRVP's sample videos, I think you'll be interested in seeing more. .
Thanks for reading MR,
Terry
To All,
I have always wondered how one of my Sister-Laws felt, don't recall asking her,she was born on April 1st...
Lol.
Cheers,

Things have to start sometime, I don't see April 1st as being a problem. I don't take the start date as a joke and if it is, Model railroader scammed me out of my subscription moneys and I certainly won't be laughing; but, talking to legal counsel.
I'm uncertain how I will receive notification of the latest MR Video Plus being available. I'll let the experts explain this to us.

Northern Pacific Railway Historical Association: http://www.nprha.org/
From what I understand is this only availible on the webside, it is not content that will be send to your personal email.
But if you have a subscription to MR you have already access to the webside of MR.
So I do not understand it how it will be working.
If it is a joke, then the joke is they will start charging you for it on April 1st.
Model Railroader Video Plus service is announced to start on APRIL 1st.
Is this the April fools day joke for 2013 from the staff of Model Railroader ?
It is weird to me to start something new on April 1st.
