I believe that most of the major model railroad software packages such as RR&Co and WinLok offer automation. I know JMRI has a scripting ability: http://jmri.sourceforge.net/index.html. There is also Bruce Chubb's C/MRI. And remember, Google is your friend. I just did a search on "model railroad automation dcc" (without the quotes) and got 857 hits. That should get you started [:D]
