Thanks for the suggestions, but I have some problems.

Most important of which is I want to go to Hobson Yard and move the real ones around.

Second, if I built a model railroad, I would have to quit work to work on it and then I wouldn't have a puter to follow any of the forums.

As some of you know - I would put Big Boy (any of them) in my backyard in a heartbeat, but the landlord refuses. And to make his point even clearer, he is selling our duplex!

But Spooky sounds like my kind of cat! When Mookie was much younger, she wrote a lot of letters and Xmas cards to friends. Now she just lays in the middle of the living room rug and plays dead (until I rattle the food dish)

Trainnut - We go out in that kind of weather, too!

Vic - she has trouble twitching her tail, altho vet said she is health-wise ok - just a little too much kibble in the middle.

488 - it is a cool forum - love the colors.

cjm89 - you peeked on the other forum. Which is where I am going to go right now.

Thank you for your input - but I will just let you all model and do the work, while I relax and watch.

Yo, Mookie, agree with CB&Q guy--build a model railroad so that we can have you on the forum more often. Spooky's helping me with my Rio Grande--she's out at the kitchen table right now drawing up plans for a 4-12-12-12-12-4 articulated helper over Yuba Pass. She's murfing a lot right now, I think she's having trouble with the quadruple articulation. Or maybe it's a hair-ball. Actually, I think she wants to watch UNION PACIFIC just for the train wrecks! Maine Coons are strange that way.

If you have a basement, that is a great home for a model railroad layout [:D].

Plus, running model trains is good when the weather won't let you and driver go to trackside [;)]

so you must be mookie...hello..nice to meet you...well sometimes things just don't turn out to be what they are intended to be....and you are right...I have a bad habit of fall'in for the first gal to come along....I met her one day after arriving in port after a 9 month tour of duty on a navy ship and we got married two weeks later....BIG MISTAKE!...it's what you call ...live and learn....the second time around I put some though into the matter and things are great now....ok...back to the trains...Chuck

I have to admit i don't know a lot about Mookie but the last cat i let near my layout..well...my local freight had a strange derailment in a tunnel followed by an awful smell ...good thing i had an access port but that was one mess i had a really hard time cleaning and needless to say that was the last cat that came near the trains...Chuck[:D]

I've actually heard such stories here on the forum. Gluing it down helps to keep the cat away, and prevents "brown boulders" form fouling the main.[:0][xx(][swg]

OK. It's gone to far. I've laughed at the following wars on this forum:

HO vs N - notice how the O scale guys don't get involved? They sit there content with their 50 pound engines and fantastically detailed cars waiting for the "little scale" guys to wipe each other out so they can run the hobby.

RTR vs. Scratchbuild - seems like either a generational conflict or a "i can spend more than you" versus "I'm a better modeler than you" thing at times

PRR vs. SP - mostly a regional conflict I think

Digitrax vs. Lenz - sometimes resembles a religeous war

But a model railroad cat?!?!?!?!?!!? My Model Railroading Corgi Rufus can beat the fur off of any feline .. . . . . . wait a minute. Let me have some more coffee. Ok......that's better. I've been able to tolerate DCC guys, SP modelers, brass collectors and super scratchbuilders . . . . "model railroading is fun"
