I have a Atlas PS-2 2 Bay covered hopper in M&StL. I want to paint it C&NW green but want to strip it first. Does anyone have any suggestions? Can I use rubbing alcohol like on Life Like products?

I assume you did read the July MR 2001 article that Lifelike recommended 91% rubbing alcohol.
There's another product called Scalecoat paint stripper for plastic models. Sorry, I'm not a stripper, but these are tips I have saved in the event I strip.

A few weeks ago I started a thread on the paint removal for Kato locos. there were a lot of good tips in that thread that may apply to your situation as well.
