Modeling Southern Super Cushion Service?
Posted by Dough on Friday, September 10, 2004 12:19 PM
Hi, I was wondering if any of you had any tips for modeling this car? Specifically I was wondering if it would be possible to model the extra long coupler pockets. Also, I was wondering how I could paint over the Southern Serves the South so that I could get the same bleed through effect. Finally, the door is very different. Is it possible to replace this as well?

I have an old Accurail model lying around and I thought that I would just use it. It is model 5603 on their site. Unfortunately, they don’t allow direct links:

Thanks all!

Ok I guess that I will just give it a shot and then anwser my own questions. However, for starters, which paint color would you use. It appears to be the new NS boxcar red.
