thanks guys...but I have a really long way to go before it's a quality layout...wish i had an extra 5' on either side of the room ...added another pic monday night describing "railfanning "and "scratchbuilding"..it took only 3 evening sessions and all day saturday to build the yard tower...Chuck[:D]

12'x8' CLOSET??

heh. that's about two-thirds the size of my GARAGE (where my layout is located.) The biggest closet in my home is 3x6 feet, and my wife uses that as her office!

Both of you guys have good looking layouts.
I am envious of the big yards you both have. I believe that I will tear mine up and start again. It just didn't come out the way I had hoped.

I just wish I had taken the same approach when I did my road bed as I have created quite a mess when it comes to wiring and access below the table.
