At the height of the Iraq and Afghan Wars, i saw several posts in various magazines and online forums from various US and Canadian armed forces units overseas asking for donations of model railroad stock.
I converted last year from HO to N. I divested much of my HO collection on Ebay but still have a few Rubbermaid bins of things like freight cars that are harder/less desirable to sell or buy on Ebay.
Does anyone know of any legitimate military model railroading clubs that would take donations? I could box up some of my stock from the 60s-modern era and most of it has barely been run if at all. I need to clear space and want this to go to a good home. Having a military connection myself, I'd rather it go to such a club.
