Didn't see anything about it at the Broadway LImited site.

I have the book "Rails Along the Hudson". Nice shots of Niagaras. The prototypes were huge, beautiful machines that had no trouble pulling 20 streamlined cars at 100 mph! Alco craftsmanship. Ironically the Niagaras' careers were short on the passenger runs as E7 "Lightning Stripers" were rapidly taking over.

Wouldn't mind owning one and using it as an "preserved museum" loco used on excursions. (I'd better hide from the "rivit counters!") [:p][;)][:D][8D][8)]

Just a question. Isn't it spelled "Niagara?" Or did I miss a letter or two back when? Actually, it would be neat to see BLI come out with one, always thought they were a particurlarly handsome 4-8-4, but then NYC was pretty good at fielding handsome steam locos, as I remember.

Well, I got a cryptic message from BLI that one of the engines I suggested (there were 4) is a good possibility. One was a T-1, so that's a 25% chance they are listening to the Dutchies.

Yes, it's a reality, as we posted last week at MR Express:
http://www.trains.com/Content/Dynamic/Articles/000/000/005/392udlup.asp
Just out of curiousity - how many of you look at that part of the site for product news (like this release, or the new Kato SD38-2?
Thanks for reading MR,
Terry

Sorry Terry, but I generally only hop onto the forums, and rarely bother with the rest of the website, except for the occasional search in the index. Now if you had a website directory like the NMRA's, and maybe something new to read (remember "One Reader's Opinion" or "Bull Session?"), I'd use the rest of the website more.

Antonio, I don't know about you, but everytime I hear of a new product announcement form BLI, I go straight to thier website only to find nothing there, so I either go to Walthers or MR Express for the comfimation! Kinda makes me laugh, I've signed up for BLI's "Insider" emails and it seems I've heard of the new announcements for at least a week before BLI ever confirms it!

Sorry twhite! You are right! My bad! [;)]

Looks like BLI beat Bachmann to the punch. They were going to "Spectrumize" their model in the future.

Thanks! I assumed that since Broadway "is the manufactuer" that they would be the first to post the exciting "News!" Strange. Apparently they release the info and just let MRR and Walthers post it while BLI takes its time getting it posted onto their own site. I'm not even going to try and figure this one out!

Thanks again!
