So the shop that had them in stock confirmed that ditch lights work.  What's more, the BCR version do supposedly have all four ditch lights working on DC/DCC-Ready & DCC/Sound versions.  So I ordered a Red/White/Blue BCR #702 DC version this morning.  If you still want one, Chad, they had four more left in stock at ovrtrains.com.  If you don't mind paying shipping from Canada - they're a great shop to deal with!

I really wanted one of these, in the Red White & Blue B.C.Rail scheme, the first run sold out before I could get one. I do not know the differences between DC & DCC versions, but the ADs I have seen all state they have working Ditch Lights, I am sceptical as the B.C. Units usually have 4 DL's.
So who knows?
I was hoping someone who has a specific model would respond, & let us know.
Thanks,

I was hoping to get some 1st hand experiences before plopping down the cash...

A wise decision.

I actually called them earlier, but the person I spoke to didn't seem particularly up to speed on the model itself. Answer he gave me directly contradicted what Bowser puts in the formal description. Description says "working ditch lights", the person on the phone said I'd have to drill out the shell to install and install my own. So I was hoping to get some 1st hand experiences before plopping down the cash...

I have not seen the model, but why not send an e-mail to Bowser and ask them?  They are pretty responsive and you will get the correct answer from the 'horses mouth'.

Bowser C630M - working ditchlights on DC version?
Posted by notabob on Thursday, October 11, 2012 12:00 PM

Hello, everyone!  New member here, and have a question regarding Bowser's recent C630Ms.  Does anyone know if the DC version of the locomotive has working ditch lights?  The shop only has the DC version left that I plan on adding sound to aftermarket, but want to confirm that at least the working ditchlights are already there.  Thanks in advance!
