Ray: Have a look at the photos of copper ore working surfaces shown in this link http://www.rhosybolbach.freeserve.co.uk/brzmine.htm , i.e.raw copper ore appears as mixture of coppery green (verdigris) and grey mixed with other shades and colours. Think of old copper roofs or pennies. Sintered copper ore would something else but can't remember what. [:)] Isambard
