An easy way to check your custom logo on cars and locos
Posted by Marc_Magnus on Sunday, August 12, 2012 6:53 AM

In the early 90's a new train company was born, the"Maclau River RR" my fictitious railroad company.

Like all company the logo and name affirm the presence of the company.

I have printed in the past some decals using my computer and a illustrator program.

Now it's time to name my cars and loco.,

I din't look after a too much complicated logo especialy because I am modeling in Nscale.

Second, not all the loco's came whith an unlettered version, so if I could check the name and reuse some number, it would be fine.

I didn't want to directly erase the printed name and logo's applied on my models.

Here is the simple trick; just print on your computer whith the font you like and at the correct size the name of your company whith a black or deep gray background.

Cut the name whith the back at a size big enough to overlay the already printed name or logo.

Just put it on the loco whitout glue and check...

You can redo it until you find the right one.

As example, a Nscale Bachmann sloped tender,

A Bachmann C&O mallet, future Maclau River,

Marc
