Anyone know what happened to Orange Blossom Hobbies in Miami?

Last I visited was in 2002. Seemed to be doing quite well, plenty of customers. Good variety of scale model stuff but heavy on trains! Prices, IMHO, were rather high. But then again compared to other Florida cities, the cost of living is considerably high as well. . A stark reminder that it was "Miami": Security cameras all over the place (and I bet some hidden). Understandable though.

Huber, regardng your question, did you hear some news about this shop? I'd be surprised if it closed. In thinking about it though, perhaps it may have been hurt by the internet competition. I hope it's still open. I plan on visiting Miami later this year to see my cousins. I always like to "drop in" just to browse the store.

"I like my Pullman Standards & Budds in Stainless Steel flavors, thank you!"

I just haven't seen any ads for them in the magazines and their dealer listing in MR is no longer there either. It was a good shop and I got several brass items there with good prices.

Sadly, They went out of Buisness Several years ago. The Owner got real greedy! He spent all the money and lost the Building if I'm not mistaken.
When Ray Delpapa was in charge of the Train Department he had some real great prices! I really miss that store!
