Mail order flex track damaged?

Have any of you received flex track from a mail order site that was damaged? MB Klein is stating they cannot ship flex track any longer as it always arrives broken. Any experiences? Where have you ordered flex track from without damage?

Trainland/Trainworld in New York, First Hobby in Decatur. Illinois, and Cherry Creek Hobbies in Torrington, Wyoming seem to all be good in their packaging.

I order all of mine from Standard Hobby. They double box it and I've never had any damaged. When I tried Hobby Circle, bad news and had about 10 pieces damaged.

I got 10 pieces from Internet Trains, along with some turnouts and other stuff, and when the box arrived I thought they were shipping me a mattress. [:D] It came in a good size box, at least 4'x3'x4", filled with packing peanuts. Needless to say, everything was intact.

I have purchased from Internet Trains, Trainworld, and 1st Palce Hobbies. All orders have arrived without damage, including flex track.

Well, maybe it's just MB Klein. Thanks for the responses. I will not worry about it, and just order from one of the other suppliers.
Thanks again!!

Just received an order of atlas flextrack from internettrains and they arrived in perfect condition. They've traveled all the way from California to Colombia(South America) along with other items including an Atlas loco and some turnouts and NO damage at all!!!

I've ordered flex-track from Trainworld and Standard Hobbies. Both places packaged it very well and it arrived intact. Whether or not a product gets damaged during shipping is a function on how well it is packed.

Most places charge extra shipping and handling on orders containing flextrack. I've never had damage myself. MB Klein probably doesn't want to mess with 3 ft. long packagng.

I agree with ClinchValley. Standard Hobby ships well packaged and I also have never had any problems with them. However you must order at least 10 pieces.
