Hi Steven,

You can run PS-2 locomotives with the TMCC CAB-1. However, you will need to purchase one of the new units previously made by IC Controls now being offered by Lionel. I don't remember which specific unit it is. The unit will allow PS-2 engines to be operated from the CAB-1 and you can operate the horn and bell functions. I believe you still can't operate all the funtions available that will ultimately be available when the DCS controller is released.

I don't think the Lionel Trainmaster Command system is compatible. You should go to the Lionel website, they have a tech talk email section where you can ask them. I think tmcc and the MTH system are competeing systems. there is a place you can get upgrades to upgrade your M.T.H. loco to TMCC. thier website is www.tastudios.com

What's tmcc & what's mth? Dou you mean M.R.C.? The people who make power packs? If so, then the answer's no. Lionel trains run on A.C. and conventional trains (other trains) run on D.C.

we have lionel tmcc running layout.I want to know if there is a way to use this system with mth proto sound 2 in command mode.
