Say it ain't so... Walther's not producing a kit in N scale? What a shocker!
Yeah, get a couple of Pikestuff sheds, some tube stock, and some wire and what not for piping and roll your own. You'll save a ton of money, and probably end up with a more interesting model.

Ken,You nailed it for N Scale..
Thankfully there are gain storage bins and other such items that can be used in modeling a ethanol plant in N Scale...
N Scale is a modeling scale since there isn't as many structure kits available like in HO.

Ethanol Plant is an easy model, you just need a variety of cylinders and squares, and use some wires as pipes. Go ahead and just do it. If you don't like it all you did was to learn some building techniques.
Here is the RED TRAIL ENERGY plant it Richardton. It is next to the BNSF mane lion.
The entire plant is a small area. The four plant tracks total about 5 miles, all parallel to the BNSF. You can get a closer look at this on Google.
Corn comes in both by truck and rail. Gasoline comes in in a short tank car. It is used to denature the ethanol so that you cannot drink the stuff. Ethanol goes out in larger tank cars. Covered hoppers bring in corn and take out brewer's yeast. Coal comes in in train cars. You can see the unloading point for the coal on the photo.

I'm thinking an ethanol plant could be perfect for my upcoming N scale layout--hoppers for grain/tank cars for product. Lot of variety of rolling stock. Walthers did up a facility for HO scale but nothing for N. Are there any kits out there that can substitute for an ethanol plant? Mind you, I'm not great at model making and want to keep the kitbashing/customizing to a bare minimum.
