Are roadname only decals available?

Not that I've heard. You have to admit that most people would want to decal a whole car every time, and those that just want a roadname are quite a bit fewer in number.

I would stay away from Champ, especially in this situation. Champ decals are not very opaque, and since SP ore cars are, IIRC, oxide red with white lettering (at least the MDC ones I had were), the Champ decals will "bleed through", with the oxide red showing through the decal.

Microscale has the largest selection, and it appears most of them are available almost all the time. Microscale are also the most widely distributed.

you can get decals from Woodland Scenics (burni***ype) and from Micro-Scale decals...a good LHS will have volumes and volumes of decals to choose from with many of the same roadnames on a single sheet, (micro scale has a website but there are loads to choose from and you will spend a lot of time there trying to find the ones you need) but "roadname only" will be hard to find...you might want to purchase a set that has a lot of similar decals in SP but most of them will also carry other decal features like road numbers, oil plates, ect... if you buy enough of the sheets you will have enough to do all your hoppers...I did about 6 hoppers in SP Roman Style Lettering using only two sheets of decals...Chuck [:D]
