You can also visit Travel Town which has real historic locomotives and cars and a large n scale layout as well. Addtionally, there are the LA Live Steamers (I think 1" scale) right next to travel town.

Go see the San Diego Model RR museum. A fantastic place to see some of the best models around. See the link above.

You could even take the coastal rr from LA to SAn Diego.

Model Railroad Shows

Hi everyone,

I'm planning a holiday to LA in October and a part from doing a couple of days 'Rail Fanning' was wondering if anyone knows of any Model Railroad Shows on in the area between the 8th - 14th October. I'm new to modelling US Railroads though not new to the hobby. I live in the UK and whilst we have a strong US modelling interest here our layouts are generally smaller by comparison. It would be nice to see 'up close' some layouts similar to those shown in Model Railroader and the like.

Any help would be much appreciated
