Yes, these are two dual gauge modules. The module with 3'-treste and Silver Creek.

Nice video showing some excelent work. At about 2 minutes in the video I noticed an outside 3rd rail. Is this the start of a dual gage track?

Absolutely amazing. My attempts are nowhere near that level of detail.

My only questions: How do you make your boards for the siding? Where do your source your material? And how do you get such precise angles on your roof trusses?

Thanks! The siding boards are 1/16 x 1/4 inch basswood strips with a line scribed down the middle. You could probably use wider boards, but I wanted to make sure the lines stayed mostly vertical over the whole building. I get my basswood strips from my local Hobby Lobby, since their prices are about what I can find online, and with no shipping costs. I used  a miter box for my trusses. The one by Midwest Products (it's white and plastic) works well- it has cuts for 30, 45, 60, 90, and 67.5 degrees. It'd be nice if it wasn't plastic, but it works pretty well.

Scarpia, I like this one.  The 'weeds' look great around the ramp.  Like the groundwork and the color you chose for the wood work.

Good job.

Montmorency Locomotive Works (MLW ;-)) have been busy improving this Spectrum 2-8-0 all over the week end... Ended up making more mods than anticipated but still a fun project.

Looks like some great work again this weekend!

No MRR progress from me, since I'm in the midst of school, college applications, and hockey season. I do, however, have railfanning photos from last Sunday's Toys For Tots special on the Morristown & Erie.

Great start to the weekend again!  This is still my favorite thread every week!  Some great modeling being done by you folks!

I have taken a bit of a rest on the powerhouse, as i am trying to find a couple items to use in the next step for it...  So, since I made some turnouts last weekend, I ripped up some of the Atlas turnouts and track and started replacing it with hand laid track.  First I cut and "creosoted" some scale ties:

Ripped out the old (it is being done little by little so I can operate trains):

Then started to install the turnouts and some new sidings:

The straight track isn't installed at the time I took the photo, just sitting in place (I will paint the PC ties first).

Been making forest and trees for a bit (there is a difference) and the stuff that will be in the background seems to be working out.

And here's a little scene just around the bend from that one

Lots of tedious work perhaps - but fun, especially when it all seems to be coming together.

My project today was changing out the front coupler on this 70's era Bachmann 0-6-0. Now I need to touch up the parts of the body where the metal is showing through the paint.

I was able to finish up another locomotive repaint recently.   This is an  IHC Mehano 4-8-2 taking the siding at Frostbite Falls.  I tried for a slightly weathered look like the locomotive came out of the shop a few months ago.  Just painting the silver tires does a lot to improve these old IHC locos and hide the oversize flanges.

Wow, some pretty impressive stuff this week.  Here's my contribution, a just-completed loading dock with jib crane:

The loading dock is a micro-trains kit, the crane is by Durango Press.  The support structure is scratchbuilt.

Crandell: Great photography ....... Odie: Your picture is artistic. Nice ....... Jeff: Nice work with weathering ........ Rick: Looks like a fun club! .... Michael: Congrats on acquiring your FEF 4-8-4 ... TomKat: Great details in your scenes and a terrific choice of prototype (Burlington) ............ DJ: Love the RSD15 and  the picture has great perspective.

On my layout, Charlie Railfan was visiting Blackhawk again, and he captured quite a lens full. Looking around the blast furnace, there are 3 mill-owned Baldwins at work. Meanwhile, a CB&Q SD7/SD9 lashup is delivering an ore train to the steel mill. SD24's are on the main line with a freight train. Two Burlington switchers are also in the picture. The flour mill is in the background.
