My MP15's detail pieces just pushed into the holes.  You shouldn't have to drill ANY holes.

Unless there's paint in the holes.

Concerning the grab irons, if you are talking drop grabs, normally the bend is down.

Try a #80 drill bit first.  If that is too small, try a #79 or #78.

I am trying to install the grab irons on an Atlas MP15, it looks like I should drill holes for each one. Two questions , does anyone know the correct drill bit size and is there a correct way to position thew bend in the grab iron, ie bent up or down?
