Construction has started!! ....... sort of

I wasn't planning on starting my layout until about this time next year because thought we would be moving this summer and that would give me time to get settled in the house and unpacked and get the room finished off, but it's looking more and more like we might not move this summer, so to get an early start and to give myself something to do I've decided to start on a portion of the layout.

I think I've decided on a trackplan, so I've taken a 2' x 5' section and I'm going to build it as a diorama right now, and it will be able to fit right into my the layout once the move is made. The legs will be removeable and everything will be made light weight for portability. I was planning on building the new layout in a sectional design anyway in case of another future move.

I'll post trackplans/photos of the layout and the diorama when I get a chance. Construction should start in a week or two when OT at work dies down.

good for you! I remember seeing the plan before and i was just wondering if you had planned the design for new house. I would assume youo would have. But a great way to keep you going when you can't gete anything much done.
