I finally put some pictures of my layout online. I also put some photos of some trains I have seen. As work continues to happen I'll continue to posts more pics. http://community.webshots.com/user/george745. Thanks for taking a glance.

Looks like your off to a positive start and I look forward to seeing more.

Well done. Though I'm curious and I hope you dont's take this as a critism but is that brass track you're laying or is it the lighting giving it the appearance of brass? The reason I say this is that if it is brass track then you may want to replace it before ballasting as it will give you a lot of grief.

Regards

Fergie

Nice pics!

Good to see another modeler running some Amtrak. As a beginner, I like seeing how layouts can grow over time.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the positve words sometimes you don't get the reaction at home as you do on this forums. On the old layout there were a couple of peices of brass because of budget reasons but on the layout there is not to be a single peice of brass track. Except on one unused siding(an idea from this forum actually)

Ah yess the family! I was getting ready for a big winter drive when the Mother in Law (MIL) told me I had more important things to do and I was too old to be playing with trains. It got to me and took a lot of enthusism out of me.

Keep it going as it is a god distraction especially if you're under a lot of stress or pressure.

If it has an X in it, it sucks! And yes, I just had my modeler's license renewed last week!
