online bonus the railroad forms download
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, August 5, 2004 12:14 PM
Anyone else having problems downloading the forms in the online bonus for September? I have the lastest versions of the Adobe Acrobat but clicking the button does nothing. The screen sits there - scrawl across the botton says that it is downloading but it never brings up the adobe acrobat. Am I missing something here?
Next question: A month or two back there was a short article on the Radio Shack ceramic magnets being used for uncoupling magnets on an N scale layout. What about HO; will they work on the larger scale as well?
Thanks [:D],

Hi Taxdoc;
I have trouble down loading anything from the online page. It will take an awful long time or, as you have encountered, it will just not do it. I have decided to just not try any more. As for the magnets, they should work as long as they are wide enough. I have been using magnets out of old coin mechinisms from video games. They work very well and can be buried under the roadbed. I have an idea for an "on demand" installation by placeing the magnet on a device to rase it to the working height when needed and lowering it so as not to function the couplers when not needed. I did video game maintance for several years and have collected a bunch of the magnets so the price is right.
