Train sim games
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, August 1, 2004 9:08 AM
I was noticing alot of train sim threads on some RR forums and I got to thinking. I play Command and Conquer online alot and was thinking wouldn't it be fun to have a train sim game the a number of people(ie1 to 4) could run trains on the same line. It would be just like running trains on a layout. Not too sure what the logistics of this would be but it would be a fun way to spend a rainy day doing. Unless there is already something like this out there. What are your thoughts on this? I surely would be interested in this.

I've heard that 1 or 2 of the upcoming trainsim games will have multiplayer, they should be great!

Do you know if that could be MSTS? That's the only train sim that I've been able to figure out.

Since MSTS2 was canceled multiplayer shouldn't happen for the game.

Sims? Bah, Humbug!
I'd rather spend a rainy day working on kits or running trains.[:D]

That would be sooo cool. Of course I would end up being the guy flying down the track with the 100 car train at 90 miles an hour with no regard for signals.[:D][B)]. Definetly on my christmas list.

Raildriver, the maker of the cab control for MSTS, bought the rights to TrainMaster and is redoing the game and call it Train Master Train Simulator (TMTS), on TMTS I've heard there will be multiplayer AND a way we can convert MSTS locos to TMTS locos, looks like a neat game.

I've just looked up TA Simulator on the web and boy was it cool!!! I think it might even be better than MSTS but l'm still upset about the fate of MSTS 2.
