Capt. Grimek

What HH said.  Considering the average age of Model Railroaders these days when someone isn't heard from some of us feel a bit concerned.  Double edged sword! Trying to get some modeling done and not feeling like one has to post something-anything so foiks know we're still vertical! Wink

I confess, as one of your "fans" I was feeling concerned myself... ah the life of a celebrity! Cool

Thanks, Bob, and I think you'll like how the Super Trees look on your layout. Now, back to the project. DJ.

Hmmm.  The President goes to Europe for a week, and nobody asks about him.  But DJ doesn't post for a few days and everyone is concerned.

Glad to see everyone has their priorities straight.

Hi DJ, For good reason, if "you" don't Post for a couple of weeks, we all worry a little, since your model railroad modeling is the "model" for us all. I am an 84yrs young Gramps also, and due to a replaced right knee, have not touched my 24'x24' unheated garage loft model railroad since last October. I have been turning out hundreds of "Super Tree" deciduous trees. Which brings up the article in the July MR by Editor Neil Besougloff, "In defense of "puffballs".I think that "puffball trees" may be acceptable for distant forest canopies, but are usually much too uniform in shape to pass for real trees. I always refer to your marvelous scenes as a standard. Bob Hahn

Glad to see everyone has their priorities straight.  And modeling over forumizing?  What a concept!

LOL, Rich, I was a little surprised anyone missed me.

Simon and BC, I read somewhere that happiness is having something to look forward to. If that's the case, model rr's should be some of the happiest people on the planet, esp. those building, re-building, improving some scenes as your skills increase, etc. Just a thought. DJ.

Good!  Thanks to all who replied.  It was a nagging thing over the past few days and I thought I would ask...

I am looking forward to some photos, DJ. Smile

Hi guys: Grampy took a break from the forums to do some actual modeling. I'll have something new either this week or next.  Thanks for thinking of me. DJ.

Anyone had contact with Jay in the past few days?  I haven't seen a post from him in over two weeks.
