Have done it. naturally if the budget permits go with nickle silver for everything
the Brass switches will need to be cleaned more often and I have rubbed graphite into the brass track to make it look and perform better.
A practice that has got me argument from concerned friends.
Enjoy and mount them loosley enough that you can replace them with the "good Ones" when you can.
