Yes, they are the same. I wonder if either will make a model of the BNSF version.

I hope so.  I could use about a dozen of them.  I have never seen a picture or a video of an entire BNSF reefer train.  I've only seen them mixed in BNSF manifest trains.

I have looked at the pic of both Exactrail's and BLMA's versions and I think they will both be a hit.  There are few very minor differences such as Exactrail's have more details added such as coupler cut bars and miniature chains on the reefer unit end walkway.

It would be really cool to have a sound chip that would play the reefer cycling through the running phase, but it would get annoying after awhile.

Besides, I have been by these cars a few times and you really can't hear them when the train is at a moderate speed.

I do not recall ever seeing any recently build reefers with partially enclosed refrigeration equipment. The only reefers I have seen like this are PC&F and FGE reefers built in the late 1960s to early 1970s that have been converted to the new refrigeration systems.

I recall one version is with the generator/refrigeration equipment exposed and the other depicts this equipment at least partially enclosed.

Maybe, but I just spent a few minutes comparing the readily available photos of the models available on the respective websites; and I'm not seeing any differences.

Could you please point out the differences?

It's the same car.  And also nearly equivalent models.  I'm not sure which I would pick--they're both very nice looking!

Trinity 64' Reefer - Exact Rail vs. BLMA
Posted by IDAHOSURGE on Friday, April 8, 2011 6:04 PM

Is the 64' Trinity reefer that will soon be released by both ExactRail and BLMA the same car or is it a different car.  I am not talking about a different phase, although that would be nice to know, but I mean a different car.

I think that they are probably the same, but I would like to know for sure.
