In this month's Shortline and Narrow Gauge Gazette were actual drawings of Tonopah and Tidewater's 2-8-0 #7 and #8. As one of the few T&T modelers on this planet I was thrilled to see these drawings. I have to build one of these slide valve relatively large consolidations. for those of you who have seen the drawings, would you suggest a model 2-8-0 that would be similar enough as a starting point for a massive kit-bash. I have done massive kit-bashes before like the time I converted an MDC HO 2-8-0 into an Sn3 D&RGW C-16. Suggestions and ideas? I am not really into totally scratch building this engine but considering what I have had to do so far modeling the T&T, I may have to! - Nevin
