You should also check out youtube, there are videos on making spray booths there.
I refuse to grow up!!!
You are welcome. I built one of those and still use it. A couple notes.
I just had to modify the opening for the filter. I could no longer find the original type filter that I was using. They have modified the filters a bit to make them more substantial, and the recent ones I purchased were a little larger in overall size even though the published filter size was the same. So best thing would be to purchase one of the filters and size the opening to suit.
Second thing is the light stick mounting. I think that the drawings show the light stick mounted such that the base is down, which means that the majority of the tube shines upward (unless I had mounted it incorrectly originally). So take a look at the mounting and see if you can modify the mounting such that the base is either mounted on its side or from the top.
Thank you for your help!! Found the article.
Article was Paint Shop: The Paint Shop Spray Booth, January 1988.
Does anyone recall an article in Model Railroader on building a spray booth? It might have been awile ago. Just can't find it....or does anyone know of a way to access articles from past issue? I have magazines from 1977 to date.
Thanks
