Con-Cor's offices are in Tucson, Arizona.  Reports are that the passsenger cars have not arrived yet, so April delivery may be doubtful.

Con-Cor is not the only company that takes pre-orders and then delivers the product six months to a year behind schedule.  They, like practically every other importer, are at the mercy of the factories in China being able to produce and deliver the product according to the anticipated arrival date.

My latest experience was a diesel locomotive that was more than 12 months behind the projected arrival date from another importer, so don't give up hope yet.

There are a couple of other factors allegedly affecting Con-Cor's delivery problems, but I don't want to go into details because I have no first-hand knowledge whether the information is true or not.

This happens a lot when using the pre-order option. I don't like pre-ordering but I have done it. I ordered a couple of loco's about a month before they were supposed to come out. When the arrival date kept getting pushed back. I gave up watching for them. Eight months later I saw a charge on my credit card and the loco's arrived in the mail a couple of days later. The selled never called me to ask if I still wanted them,  I didn't mind since the seller didn't charge my card until he shipped them. If you don't want them any longer call the seller and have your name taken of his pre-order list

Pre order may not be not working?

I pre ordered the Con-Cor HO scale 65" long "shorty" cars that are designed to adequately navigate 18R" curves  shown here:

http://www.con-cor.com/094200BCS.html

Last fall way back when, and I was told I would get a 20% discount if I pre-ordered. I saw they are advertised in the last Issue of MR. Now they seem to say "due in APril", fastly arriving. They will look great behind my B&O AB set, I think {may not be proto pullers, but...}

I wonder if they are going to call me to see if I still want they as they said they would.

If they are advertising them in MR, then I would assume they should either be here to order, or be coming very soon and us who pre-ordered should be first  in line?

ANd I wonder will they really show up in April?

I shall have to wait and see what happens. Perhaps I am being a bit impatient? Or will it be like other pre-order situations where the pre-orders don't arrive, don't arrive on time, gets pushed back further for release date, etc...

Wondering in NY...

Just my thoughts, ideas, opinions and experiences. Others may vary.

 HO and N Scale.

After long and careful thought, they have convinced me. I have come to the conclusion that they are right. The aliens did it.
