Be very careful when bidding on this lot!!!!! I checked the postage calculator and they want almost $97 to ship from Iowa to Maryland! INSANE!!!! Considering 275 magazines weigh a good bit, I think they obviously have a built in profit in the shipping cost. Caveat emptor!!!

Could be the shipping calculator has gone south again. I'm 100 miles SE and got a quote of ONLY $93.09! LOL

The freight to Houston was only $98.00 plus change. They're going to give the magazines away and make it up on freight. Like Darth9x9 says "buyer beware". When I see someone doing business like this I run fast.

We had a similar treasure trove of old magazines stored at the Cochise & Western Model Railroad Club, some going back to MR issue #10, that we couldn't even give away, so they wound up in the trash. Paper is HEAVY for its size, so it would have been impractical to offer them to out-of-towners if they would pick up the shipping cost. Most of these were magazines that had been donated to the club by people who didn't want to just throw them away. I had a similar experience with a 20-year collection of National Geographic. Not even school libraries want old magazines of any type.
