In N scale, there might not be such a locomotive because there are so few steam engines made in that scale. The two best running ones are the Kato Mikado and Bachmann Spectrum Consolidation, but I doubt if either one could pull that much weight up a grade without wheel slippage. You may need to double-head the train by using two matching locomotives. Experimentation is the only way to find out for sure. Your cheaper alternative would be to cut the length of your train to whatever the locomotive can manage.

Hi,
I've already got some answer from some of you but now i have a more generaL QUESTION :
Which is the best steam era loco to pull a 15 boxcars train (eventually) on a 2% grade?
