Has Anyone Actually Disassembled a Life Like P2K 0-6-0?

I'd like to open up my 0-6-0 to check for proper wormgear lube and also to see if there's any hope for adding weight to increase it's rather limited tractive effort but I can't detach the rear of the boiler. I have freed up the front by removing the screw in the smokestack but I don't see an obvious way to remove the cab. I'm concerned about damaging it as I fiddle around. The instructions are a complete waste saying only "By extracting the body shell from the chassis, the snap-on cover over the drive worm can be removed". The exploded diagram doesn't indicate any additional screws or tabs but it looks like getting the cab off is the key. I have removed the screws on the bottom and gotten into the bearings and lower gears but I sure don't see any obvious way to get the cab off safely.
Thanks,
Charles
