Whistling

Hi Tom,

Prayers and Blessings from the Great White North.

We'll arrange for Garry to get the Chapel Car in behind a couple of CB&Q E7s and get it out to Carmichael on the fly. That will be a lot quicker than those dirty old steamers, don't you think ??

Seriously, that poisoning is nothing to fool with.   I endured it many years ago and I don't think I have ever been sicker. It had me down and out for several days, and then lingered on for awhile as well.

Hope your recovery goes well and quick and you are back on the Yuba Sub. in short order.Thumbs UpThumbs Up

Johnboy out...............................

I didnt mean to scare you? was trying to be fun, and find out whats the point of msgs like these, thanks thor,

Sometimes it's just venting.  After you're around for awhile you get to know the people a little.  You'll understand a bit better then.

Very sorry to hear about the infection!  Wow!  Hope the kidneys come back on line for you very soon and you can get back to all the things you love so much!

Know you are in my prayers sir!

Not a good start to 2011 for me, either.  One week into January I contacted a violent Salmonella infection that dehydrated me and shut down my kidneys.   So now I get hooked up to a dialysis machine 3 days a week for God only knows how long until they decide to come back.  Which limits me not only in my teaching, but in my time for the hobby.

So the Yuba River Sub is in a state of suspended animation for the time being.  Too bad, too, I just got a complete set of the MTH "Daylight" cars, and haven't been able to get out to run them yet.  They're sure nice to look at, though.

Here's hoping for better health...Angel

We have more heading this way today but with "freezing rain" on the offing first before the snow starts. This is central Missouri no less!!!

You bet your "duellies" I'd like to send it somewhere else!!!

Hey!! Misery loves company, and cabin fever from being "snowed in" isn't helping anything..............

Mark

P.S. You didn't really "scare" me as such, but I must admit it's make me a bit nervous at times.

I am new on the MRR  forums,  I was wondering if you guys could explain what is the reason for the msgs like this and the elliots  dinner  page?  ive got up the courage to ask a few questions about our hobby and have got some great ideas and advice, thanks,  The main reason i got into railroading is i think its fun, I enjoy making things, and i get some kind of personal satisfaction from it, And for me it keeps my mind busy, i drive a truck for a living and i have alot of time to think, i try and spend my time thinking of how can i do this or that instead of thinking how my jobs stinks, my wifes hates me, my health stinks, i`m broke, etc! maybe i`l try and find the Dr.phil, Espn,or Jerry springer web sites to look for modeling/railroading conversations,   Thor.

Oh yea, and I forgot to mention that when I got home I found out that on New Year's Eve a drunken driver had driven off the road and through our yard killing my favorite cat who was doing his business in the front yard at the time.

His excuse was he thought it was "his" driveway until he hit the tree..........apparently the State Troopers didn't beleive him, but my cat was just as dead.

As the old salt slogan says, "When it rains it pours"!

Try this one on for size, December 08 I went into the hospital because the flu that I was given because some clown couldn't cover his face when he sneezed in mine didn't want to go away. In January 09 I left the hospital and came home, minus my left leg from 3" above the knee. I've been having a bad year for 2 years now. Anybody wanna trade?

And before you ask "did I get an attorney" the answer is "yes", and that's another story of incompetence...........(***, I can't find my dictionary either!!)

Besides, If the your team does pull one out of there$1***$2they will still be 2 Lombardi's behind. And by the way guess where your head coach is from? that's right PGH Pa

Miller Engineering made the Heinz logo-sign and the Clark Bar billboard, ergo its easier to construct an HO scale Heinz Field.

We have the same thing in northern Michigan.  Our new state slogan is," Come to Michigan where we have 11 months of good sledding and one when it's not so hot".

Ours is getting there...11 months sledding...8 months construction destruction........they use the less snowier times to muck up our roads....

It took me five hours 28 minutes to drive 5.3 miles home from work the other night, and there was no power when I got home.  2011 can only go up from here.

I think it's time for a new mechinic. Had same problem. seems they where not on the up and up......... sorry quote to car problems.JTG

Yep. I think the same thing. I'm always suspicious when I bring my car home from the mechanic ... and immediately have another problem.

I took the transmission for my Jeep to a local shop for a repair & they told me it needed to be either completely rebuilt or replaced to the tune of $1400.00. I took it hom & took it apart myself and replaced a little clip that cost me .29 cents. Has worked great ever since.
