I checked out the link.  Your friend does have some really cool selections. I like a number of the natural scenes; especially the Landscape backdrops under the Northeast series.  In the "The City and Town" scenes look decent as well, problem is for someone that's modeling the pre-1980s era some of the structures in the scenes would stand out as too modern.

I plan on purchasing U008 and combine it with U003, which will complement the basic  "small, east coast town look" theme for my layout.

I have not used the SceniKing backdrops but researched them extensively a few years ago (along with Backdrop Warehouse) when I started my layout. I thought the quality of the SceniKing prints would be lower than what I was looking for and ended up painting instead of using prints. However, this past weekend I actually got to see the entire selection of SceniKing backdrops on sale at the big train show in Atlanta and was very impressed. I will definitely go that route when I get to a new section of the layout that needs backdrops. Also, I believe Tony Koester uses them extensively and they sure do look good in photographs of his NKP layout. Jamie

I haeused them and they work just fine on the section that i have done.  Used gluestick to joint the pics and spry adhesive to place on sky backdrop.  Really like it !

I am using them. Have just put a few up. I like them with a few caveats.

1. I am using a glue stick to glue each section together and it works well.

2. I tried to use a glue stick to glue the whole background up and it did NOT work well - the glue dries too fast.

I ended up using masking tape - rolled - not sure if it will last. I'll take some pics and post here, but here are a few taken when the background was temporarily installed:

The last pic is how they show up under blacklight!

Anybody use Sceniking backgrounds or have any dealings with them

They seem to be great looking from what is on the website

Problem is I sent 2 emails requesting an HO catalog and haven't received any response
