Wow. Thanks for posting these!
It sure is, right up until you have to get from the main building to the platform. :P
How "Modern" do you want though? Stations like his, or the one I'm gonna postwhile still being used in modern times, are in fact rather old buildings. A more modern depot is going to be FAR smaller than that.
Some ideas though,
Looking into the Naptown & White River's East-Bend Terminal. Though modelled in 1958 and based roughly in an ear North-East of Evansville, IN,in a modern setting the NWR uses the tracks to base out their Business fleet and Amtrak.
However, what I think of as modern stations tend to be smaller. I'm assuming you'll ignore the AmShacks, so we'll go with a few single trackers.
(Taken at NWR's LaSalle Station, which would be probably Rushville)
The CMPA pauses in front of the Indianapolis-Suburb station of the NWR.
You can tell which stations I shoot the most at, but only LaSalle has the lights as of right now, so that may change.
Both LaSalle and Naptown stations have much in common with this protoype Indiana station, something for you to munch on as well.

Oh my gosh, thats sick!
I love passenger stations. I have a modern current day Denver Union Station on my main layout, and I plan to have a 4 track passenger station on my extension room layout. Gonna use the Walthers Cornerstone MILW station and train shed kits.
Here's couple of pics for ya...
